It is not possible to dispose of garden waste in your black or brown wheeled bin. However, there are a number of alternatives if you do not want to join the Garden Waste Collection Service. Home Composting is the best solution for garden and kitchen vegetable waste as it avoids the financial and environmental cost of transporting waste to other sites. Your garden will also benefit from the free, organic compost that will be generated. Home composters can be ordered online at http://www.recyclenow.com/home_composting/ or by calling 0845 077 0757.
You can take your garden waste free of charge to the Household Waste Recycling Centres in Bunny Lane, Timsbury or Woodside Avenue, Eastleigh. Material received at these sites is also composted.
