The Rising Cost of Water.
On the 1st February Southern Water informed the Parish Council that our average annual domestic water and wastewater bill for 2018/19 is going up by 3 pence a day. The typical combined bill for households in this area for the coming year is expected to be £436 – that equates to a daily cost of £1.19 and an increase of 3%, about £11, compared with 2017/18.

Grants are Still Available for Businesses in Rural Areas, including southern Test Valley.
The EU’s New Forest LEADER grants can be used to fund investment in certain types of buildings, equipment and machinery to help small businesses grow and/or create jobs. The scheme is due to end in 2019, so businesses are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
